UnivRS: Submitting an Application for Academic and Institutional Approval Workshop

Description:

The University Research System (UnivRS) is a secure, web-based system that provides opportunities for the research community within the University of Saskatchewan to collaborate on research projects. It serves as a central repository from which other systems can draw consistent and up-to-date information about research related projects at the University of Saskatchewan.

This workshop will take potential applicants through the creation of a Project Application in UnivRS.  

A training account in UnivRS will be sent to each participant, prior to the workshop.

  • To access UnivRS, visit https://univrsapp.usask.ca/converis/secure/client/login. 
  • Enter your NSID and password (same as PAWS) and click the ‘Login’ button. 
  • To logout, click on your username at the top of the screen to see the drop-down menu, and select ‘Logout’. Under normal circumstances, you will be automatically logged out after sixty (60) minutes of inactivity.   

 

Objectives:

In this workshop participants will:

  • create a Project Application in UnivRS
  • identify the data that must be entered into UnivRS before the Project Application is submitted for approval
  • acquire useful tips for entering data into the Project Application
  • submit a Project Application for Academic  Approval
  • gain basic understanding of how the approval process works
  • determine where the Project Application is in the approval process
  • recognize the Project Application workflow statuses
